Offerpal’s Nick Talarico spoke recently at the Facebook Developers Garage in Taipei, where nearly 400 Taiwanese developers turned out to hear the latest tips for developing and monetizing Facebook applications. Below is the presentation Nick walked the audience through on “10 Tips For Monetizing Social Games.”
Recently, when Offerpal has been in the news, it’s been for the work we’re doing to “make social gaming offers more relevant and transparent,” or for the new shopping reward system we launched for online gamers. But this week we’re in an unexpected media outlet for an entirely different kind of story (or at least our CEO is).
In the issue of People magazine that hits newsstands this week, George Garrick is featured in the full-page section “Heroes Among Us” for his charitable givings in the Bay Area. George and his family — wife Lainie, daughter Victoria and sons Jonathan and William — recently handed out more than 500 Christmas trees to families in need. “This makes a real difference in hard times,” said Teri Chin, director of the community center that helped with the giveaway.
